MANIE Chapter 5

On an ordinary marriage of royalties, a banquet should be held after the ceremony with the ambassadors and relatives of each nation, but there was no hope for a peaceful dialogue between Baldin and Lidea, so the banquet was not held. Even the emissary of Lidea, once he confirmed the pledge, went back to Lidea giving the bride one maid to assist her.

 

 

After the ceremony and after settling the necessary political affairs for the night, Keithfalt went toward the bedroom where the bride was waiting. There was an obligation to spend only the first night together in a room. Keithfalt opened the door of the bedroom while suppressing his irritation.

 

 

What caught his eyes was the figure of a beautiful bride standing by the window, illuminated by the moonlight. Tinaria, surprised by the noise, turned around with her silver hair wavering, she opened her light eyes wide, then softened her warm lapis lazuli eyes, recognizing who the visitor was. Happily blushing, she, who was facing Keithfalt, held her white night skirt, made a small bow and spun the words.

 

“I apologize for introducing myself so late. I am called Tinaria. I will try to be helpful to you to the best of my abilities. From now on, please be nice to me.”

 

Saying so, she broke into a smile.

 

Keithfalt was suppressing the irritation in his noisy heart because of this smile. The cause of his irritation was this. For some reason, his heart couldn’t stay calm at Tinaria’s smile. For Keithfalt, indeed, this person was forcibly pinning him down with wiles or reasoning to make him surrender. That is right, if it was only about appearance, she must know how to behave to win over a man. However, he didn’t intend to surrender to a woman like his father.

 

“I am sorry, I don’t intend to be nice. This marriage was decided by the country, so I had no choice but to accept it, I have a lover I promised to marry in the future. Therefore, I am going to ask you to move to another room by tomorrow.”

 

This was Clianna’s idea. If he used a lover as a diversion, the Princess of Lidea would not appear valuable. After hearing it, he thought it was ridiculous, but Keithfalt, who felt a sense of danger especially after looking at Tinaria’s smile, retaliated it as to strike back. Hearing this, Tinaria twisted her face for an instant as if she was about to cry, immediately looked down to hide, then raised her face to quietly smile.

 

“Understood. I don’t have the intention to be a hindrance for you two. Tomorrow, I will immediately move to another room. Only for today, because of the custom, it is unpleasant, but please forgive me for staying in the same room. I will use this sofa. Good night.”

 

Saying so, Tinaria moved to the sofa holding a blanket and lay down.

Keithfalt was surprised by Tinaria who was starting to sleep in the couch without notice. By no means, he intended to make a woman sleep on the sofa, but he could not awake her either, so he lay down on the bed with a dejected expression.

Keithfalt, who was busy with the ceremony coordination in addition of his usual official duties, fell asleep right away, so no one could notice that the small shoulders of the lady who was sleeping on the sofa were trembling.
